Olly Murs Cancels More Tour Dates After Abruptly Leaving Stage in Glasgow
Singer Olly Murs has been forced to cancel more tour dates after a shocking incident in Glasgow, where he walked off stage just 30 minutes into a show. The news was reported by the Daily Star, who revealed that Murs had to abandon his performance due to vocal problems.
According to the Daily Star, Murs was performing at a concert in Glasgow when he suddenly announced that he couldn’t continue due to his voice failing him. The singer had only managed to perform five songs, including his hit single “Kiss Me Like You Mean It”, before addressing the audience and apologising for having to cut his set short.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Murs revealed that he had “contracted a respiratory infection” and had been instructed by his doctor to go on a strict 48-hour voice rest to prevent further damage to his vocal cords. The Daily Star reported that Murs was “deeply sorry” for having to cancel his shows and assured his fans that they would receive refunds from their original point of purchase.
