Elizabeth Olsen Joins Kristen Stewart in Vampire Thriller ‘Flesh of the Gods’
A new and exciting cast member has been announced for Kristen Stewart’s upcoming vampire thriller, ‘Flesh of the Gods’. According to Deadline, Marvel star Elizabeth Olsen has joined the cast as the “mysterious and enigmatic” Nameless.
The film, which is being directed by Panos Cosmatos and written by Andrew Kevin Walker, also stars Oscar Isaac alongside Stewart. The story follows married couple Alex and Raoul, played by Stewart and Isaac, who live in ’80s LA and “descend each evening from their luxury skyscraper condo and head into an electric nighttime realm”. When they cross paths with Nameless and her hard-partying cabal, they are “seduced into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills and violence”.
‘Flesh of the Gods’ is described as a film that will inhabit the liminal realm between fantasy and nightmare, with Cosmatos stating that it will take viewers on a “hot rod joy ride deep into the glittering heart of hell”. The film is being produced by Oscar winner Adam McKay, alongside Betsy Koch, Gena Konstantinakos and director Isaac.
Olsen recently appeared in a number of high-profile projects, including the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Wanda Maximoff. Her addition to the cast of ‘Flesh of the Gods’ is sure to generate excitement among fans of both Olsen and Stewart.
According to McKay, the film has the potential to be a game-changer, stating that it will be “wildly commercial and wildly artful”. With its unique blend of style, attitude, and vampires, ‘Flesh of the Gods’ is shaping up to be one of the most exciting films of the year.
The film’s announcement was met with enthusiasm from Cosmatos, who stated that it will be a propulsive and hypnotic ride. With its talented cast and crew, ‘Flesh of the Gods’ is sure to be a must-see for fans of vampire thrillers.
Stewart has been on a roll lately, recently returning to screens in acclaimed comedy Sacramento, which follows two former best friends who take a spontaneous road trip together. She will also soon collaborate with her partner Dylan Meyer for a new “stoner girl comedy” titled The Wrong Girls, starring Lakeith Stanfield, Seth Rogen, Alia Shawkat, Kumail Nanjiani and Tony Hale.
