ECB Under Fire: Cricket Body Faces Fresh Scrutiny

England Men’s Cricket Team Announces XI for Second MetroBank ODI Against West Indies

England Men’s cricket team has announced their XI for the second MetroBank ODI against West Indies, which is set to take place at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Sunday, June 1. According to a statement released by England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), the team has made one change to their XI following an injury to Jamie Overton.

The ECB confirmed that Overton has been ruled out of the remainder of the series with a broken right little finger, prompting the selection of Matthew Potts as his replacement. This will be Potts’ 10th ODI appearance for England. The team is looking to secure a series victory against West Indies with one game to play, and a win in Cardiff would achieve this goal.

The ECB announced the England Men’s XI, which includes: Ben Duckett, Jamie Smith, Joe Root, Harry Brook (C), Jos Buttler (WK), Jacob Bethell, Will Jacks, Brydon Carse, Matthew Potts, Adil Rashid, and Saqib Mahmood. New England Men’s white-ball captain Harry Brook will lead the team in the second ODI.

As reported by the ECB, Brook has been forced to make one change to the team following Overton’s injury. The second MetroBank ODI will take place at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, starting on Sunday, June 1.
