Trent Alexander-Arnold Completes Transfer to Real Madrid
Former Liverpool Defender Must Switch Cars Due to Sponsorship Agreement
According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, Trent Alexander-Arnold has completed his transfer to Real Madrid, signing a six-year contract with the Spanish club. As part of the deal, Liverpool received an £8.4million fee for the 26-year-old, who was allowed to leave his boyhood club as a free agent.
As Alexander-Arnold begins his new chapter at Real Madrid, he will have to make some adjustments, including switching the car he drives. The Liverpool Echo reports that Alexander-Arnold’s preferred vehicle, a £130,000 Range Rover P530, is not allowed to be driven to training due to Real Madrid’s sponsorship agreement with BMW.
The Liverpool Echo cites Spanish outlet El Motor, which states that the German car manufacturer supplies Real Madrid players with cars to use throughout the season, including plug-in hybrid and electric models. The deal means that Alexander-Arnold will have to switch to a BMW vehicle, such as the sporty BMW XM, which has been a popular choice among Real Madrid players.
The Liverpool Echo notes that Alexander-Arnold will still be able to drive a high-performance SUV, but it will be provided by BMW. The publication reports that other Real Madrid players, including Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham, have opted for the BMW i7 M70 xDrive, which costs around £157,000.
Alexander-Arnold has quickly settled into his new environment at Real Madrid, making his first public appearance as a Los Blancos player at the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona. He met club legend Roberto Carlos and posed for a photograph with him. The Liverpool Echo reports that Alexander-Arnold also expressed his enthusiasm for his new chapter by replying to Real’s post celebrating the arrival of new manager Xabi Alonso, writing “El Jefe” – which translates to ‘the boss’ in Spanish.
The transfer of Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid marks a new chapter in his career, and the Liverpool Echo will continue to provide updates on his progress at the Spanish club.
