Rangers Eye Israeli Striker Dor Turgeman in £4m Deal

Rangers Target Dor Turgeman: Ibrox Side Keen on Signing Israeli International

Rangers are reportedly keen on signing Israeli international Dor Turgeman, according to sources. The 21-year-old has been impressive for Maccabi Tel Aviv, netting 20 goals this season, and has caught the attention of the Ibrox side.

The Daily Record understands that Rangers have made Turgeman one of their top summer targets, with sporting director Kevin Thelwell looking to revamp the playing squad. Thelwell, formerly of Everton, has brought a list of names to the table, and new boss Russell Martin has also added to them.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers are looking to make Turgeman one of Martin’s first captures. The Israeli international has also attracted interest from Italy and Spain, with Maccabi Tel Aviv reportedly valuing him at around £4million.

Turgeman has been in impressive form for Maccabi Tel Aviv, scoring 20 goals this season. He has also represented Israel eight times, scoring once. The Daily Record reports that Rangers have already opened talks with Maccabi over a potential summer move.

The Ibrox side is looking to make a splash in the transfer market this summer, with new American owners, led by Andrew Cavenagh, investing heavily in the club. Rangers expect to be busy this summer, but they are looking for quality that will see them hit the ground running as they attempt to end Celtic’s domestic dominance.

Rangers’ interest in Turgeman was first reported in Israel, with sources claiming that Thelwell made the forward an immediate priority. Martin, when he was at Southampton, was previously interested in Turgeman, according to reports.

“We’re looking to bring in some top-class players to help us compete with the best in Scotland,” a Rangers spokesperson said. “Dor Turgeman is a talented young player who has caught our eye, and we’re excited about the possibility of bringing him to Ibrox.”

The Daily Record understands that Rangers are not the only club interested in Turgeman, with Italian and Spanish clubs also eyeing up the Israeli international. However, the Ibrox side is confident that they can secure his signature ahead of the new season.

As the summer transfer window heats up, Rangers fans will be keeping a close eye on developments. With the club looking to make a big splash in the market, Turgeman could be one of the first signings of the Russell Martin era.
