Celebrity Sabotage: Judi Love and Joel Dommett Among Star-Studded Cast
ITV has announced an exciting new reality gameshow, Celebrity Sabotage, set to air later this year. The show boasts an impressive cast, including Taskmaster star Judi Love, The Masked Singer host Joel Dommett, and I’m a Celebrity contestants GK Barry and Sam Thompson.
The format of the show involves a group of celebrity pranksters working together to win a secret cash prize for unsuspecting contestants. According to Digital Spy, the show’s cast will also include a new special guest each week, such as reality star Olivia Attwood, actor Fay Ripley, comedian Jo Brand, former footballer Jill Scott, comedian and actor Guz Khan, and football legend Harry Redknapp.
The contestants, who are unaware of the show’s true nature, will think they are taking part in a new ITV series. To make it more believable, they will meet the hosts of these fake shows, including Clare Balding, Matt and Emma Willis, Monica Galetti, Jason Fox, Sara Davies, and Rylan Clark.
As reported by Digital Spy, the saboteurs will be watching the contestants’ every move from their HQ and will need to pull off convincing stunts to win the prize. Judi Love expressed her excitement about filming the show, saying, “I haven’t laughed this much in a while! From the first day of filming to the very last moment, it was an unforgettable experience.”
Love also praised her co-conspirators, Joel, GK, and Sam, stating, “I loved working with my co-conspirators – Joel, GK and Sam. We got to dress up in some unique costumes, pull off hilarious pranks and all for a good cause – which is exactly my kind of fun.”
Joel Dommett also shared his experience, saying, “This show is absolute madness. Turns out making a new fake reality TV show every week and secretly sabotaging the real contestants to win them money is REALLY FUN!”
Sam Thompson compared the show to a “military operation,” stating, “Filming this show was like a military operation. Think Mission Impossible (and I’ll let you in on a little secret, sometimes our missions felt impossible) but with more laughs.”
GK Barry added, “This show is iconic. You get two shows for the price of one! It has everything you want in a new entertainment show – high stakes, high drama and LOTS of laughs. And we get to win members of the public money. What’s not to love? I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Diego Rincón, who oversaw the pranks on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, is an executive producer of the show. Celebrity Sabotage is set to air on ITV1, ITVX, STV, and STV Player later in the year.
Judi Love recently participated in the thirteenth season of Taskmaster in 2022. Her other TV credits include Loose Women, Strictly Come Dancing, and MasterChef.
