Navarro Faces Anisimova: Can Upset Happen?

Queen’s Club Championships: Emma Navarro vs Amanda Anisimova Quarter-Final Preview

A thrilling all-American quarter-final is set to take place at the Queen’s Club Championships on Friday, as Emma Navarro faces off against Amanda Anisimova. According to Sports Mole, the two players have a history of competitive matches, with Anisimova leading the head-to-head 3-0.

In her previous match, Navarro secured a impressive comeback victory over Beatriz Haddad Maia, winning 1-6, 7-6(4), 6-3. This win marked a significant improvement for the world No. 10, who had a disappointing early exit in the French Open. As Sports Mole reports, Navarro aims to build on this success and make a deep run in the tournament.

Anisimova, on the other hand, has also had a strong showing in the tournament so far, defeating British qualifiers Jodie Burrage and Sonay Kartal in the first two rounds. As noted by Sports Mole, the world No. 15 has been impressive on tour this season, with a 21-10 record and titles in Doha and Charleston.

The head-to-head between Navarro and Anisimova has been dominated by the latter, who has won all three previous meetings. As Sports Mole highlights, Anisimova has been victorious on hard courts, clay, and now seeks to extend her lead on grass.

In terms of their tournament so far, Navarro received a bye in the first round before defeating Haddad Maia in the second round. Anisimova, meanwhile, defeated Burrage and Kartal in the first two rounds. Sports Mole provides a comprehensive breakdown of their tournament progress.

As the two players prepare to face off, Sports Mole predicts that Anisimova will win in three sets. The previous two matchups between the two players have gone the distance, and their first meeting on grass could follow a similar pattern.

Tournament Progress:

  • Emma Navarro:
    • First round: Bye
    • Second round: vs. Beatriz Haddad Maia 1-6 7-6[4] 6-3
  • Amanda Anisimova:
    • First round: vs. Jodie Burrage 4-6 6-3 6-4
    • Second round: vs. Sonay Kartal 6-1 6-3

Head-to-Head:

  • Charleston (2025) – Quarter-final: Anisimova 7-5 7-6(1)
  • Toronto (2024) – Semi-final: Anisimova 6-3 2-6 6-2
  • Indian Wells (2022) – First round: Anisimova 6-2 6-2

As reported by Sports Mole, Anisimova has been in strong form this season, and her powerful serves and aggressive ball-striking make her a contender for titles on grass. Will she be able to overcome Navarro and advance to the semi-finals? Only time will tell.
