F1 Academy Practice Session in Montreal Sees Alisha Palmowski Top the Timesheets
In a closely contested practice session, Alisha Palmowski of Campos Racing emerged as the fastest driver in the F1 Academy’s Montreal session, narrowly beating her teammate Chloe Chambers. According to Formula Scout, the 40-minute session saw limited action in the first quarter, with only seven drivers having posted lap times after 10 minutes.
At that point, Ella Lloyd of Rodin Motorsport led the way with a time of 1m42.277s, with Alba Hurup Larsen of MP Motorsport 0.37 seconds behind in second. However, the order changed dramatically when most of the field improved their lap times almost 16 minutes into the session. Palmowski set a new benchmark of 1m40.643s, with Larsen staying in second by improving to 1m41.111s.
As reported by Formula Scout, Palmowski continued to lower the pace, setting a 1m40.002s on her next lap, while Chambers rose to second with a 1m40.886s. Larsen was demoted to fourth by Lloyd, who improved again to 1m41.109s. The Campos pair continued to get quicker, with Palmowski making 1m39.315s the new time to beat.
Chambers responded by setting a 1m39.297s, while Palmowski pitted. Larsen made a marginal gain in third, and the only other drivers within a second of Palmowski continued to be Lloyd and Prema’s Doriane Pin. Red flags waved with nine minutes to go when Pin was sent out of the pits with a fan still in her car and it fell off onto the track.
As Formula Scout notes, action resumed with six minutes left on the clock, and there was a flurry of improvements one-and-a-half minutes before the end. Chambers reclaimed first place by breaking into the 1m38s, and Larsen made a 0.35s gain. Palmowski left it later to find more pace, and with half a minute to go got within 0.282s of Chambers’ 1m38.972s benchmark.
In the end, Palmowski improved again and beat Chambers by 0.074s, with the final top 10 results as follows:

The results show that the Campos Racing team dominated the session, with their drivers taking the top two spots. As Formula Scout reports, the session was marked by a series of improvements and changes in the order, with many drivers pushing hard to set their fastest lap times.
