Today’s NYT Strands: Hints, Spangram, and Solution, June 15

Strands Puzzle Solution: June 15, 2025 – "Here’s to Him!"

A new daily puzzle has been released on the New York Times (NYT) website, and our team at Lifehacker has been working hard to bring you the hints and solutions to help you solve it. According to an article published on Lifehacker, the Strands puzzle for June 15, 2025, has the theme "Here’s to him!"

The Strands game, available on the New York Times website and in the NYT Games app, challenges players to find hidden words within a game board that reflect the puzzle’s theme. As noted by Lifehacker, "Your job is to find the hidden words within the board that reflect the puzzle’s theme."

For those struggling with today’s puzzle, Lifehacker provides some oblique hints to help you solve it. The first hint is that today’s holiday is related to the theme. Additionally, the hint for the theme words in today’s Strands puzzle is that they are "Fatherly words hidden inside."

If you’re looking for a more direct solution, Lifehacker reveals that the spangram for today’s Strands puzzle is "FATHERSDAY". Furthermore, the theme words for today’s puzzle are: CRAWDAD, PAPARAZZI, CHALUPA, POPSICLE, and POPCORN.

Lifehacker also provides a visual representation of the completed board, showcasing the spangram and theme words. As reported, "Here’s what the board looks like when the puzzle is solved."

In an interview with Lifehacker, the puzzle solver shared their thought process behind solving today’s Strands. They noted that they initially thought the puzzle might feature words like "cheers" and "salud." However, upon closer inspection, they discovered the word CRAWDAD in the upper left corner, which fits perfectly with the Father’s Day theme.

For those new to the Strands game, Lifehacker explains that it is "a crossword crossed with a word search". The goal is to find the hidden words within the board, with the most important word being the "spangram", which explicitly states the puzzle’s theme.

To play Strands, simply visit the New York Times website or open the NYT Games app. You will see a game board with an assortment of letters, flanked by a clue that gives a hint at the board’s theme.

In terms of strategy, Lifehacker suggests that solving the spangram usually makes the rest of the puzzle much easier to complete. Additionally, players can submit non-theme words to receive credit toward a hint.

Lifehacker also notes that "unlike Connections and Wordle, you cannot fail Strands." Players win when they’ve correctly used all the letters on the board, meaning they’ve identified the spangram and all of the theme words.
