Snow Patrol Headline Delamere Forest Live 2025
The Northern Irish indie-rock band Snow Patrol took to the stage at Delamere Forest in Cheshire last night, June 13, as part of the Forest Live 2025 concert series hosted by Forestry England. According to a report from Leader Live, the band performed to a stunning woodland setting, delighting fans with their catalogue of hits.
Snow Patrol, best known for their anthemic hits such as ‘Chasing Cars’, ‘Run’, ‘Just Say Yes’, and ‘Open Your Eyes’, have had a remarkable career, earning seven Meteor Ireland Music Awards, an Ivor Novello award, and nominations for six BRIT Awards and one GRAMMY. Their new album, The Forest Is The Path, hit the UK number one spot earlier this year, as reported by Leader Live.
The band, consisting of Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly, and Johnny McDaid, opened their set with ‘Take Back the City’, followed by ‘Called out in the Dark’ and the hugely popular ‘Run’, written by frontman Gary Lightbody 25 years ago. They also performed tracks from their new album, including ‘All’ and ‘The Beginning’. Other hits in the mix included ‘Open Your Eyes’, ‘What If This Is All The Love You Ever Get?’, and ‘Shut your eyes’, as stated in the Leader Live article.
This was Snow Patrol’s first time performing at Delamere Forest, and the reaction of their dedicated fans suggests that they will be back. The band dedicated their highly anticipated ‘Chasing Cars’ to the support acts, The Florentinas and Freya Ridings, and the crowd. Leader Live reported that Freya Ridings, a BRIT Award-nominee and acclaimed pop singer-songwriter, was one of the support acts for Snow Patrol.
The Forest Live 2025 concert series continues at Delamere Forest tonight with pop songwriting legend Gary Barlow, followed by Rag’n’Bone Man tomorrow, June 15, Busted on June 19, and Blossoms on June 21. The series also takes place at three other unique outdoor locations across the country: Cannock Chase, High Lodge, Thetford, and Westonbirt Arboretum, as per the Leader Live report.
Forestry England uses the money raised from the Forest Live events to maintain 1,500 woods and forests around the country for everyone to enjoy, plant trees, and continue their vital conservation work. The events merge stellar live sets from world-class artists with breathtaking forest backdrops, providing a unique experience for music lovers and nature enthusiasts alike, as reported by Leader Live.
