On the second day of the festival, Yorkshire punks Syteria kicked off the proceedings with a high-energy set that included songs such as “Guilty” and “All Woman”. They were followed by Austin Gold, who delivered a classic rock set, and Whyte Tyger, who brought a heavy and nasty sound to the stage. This House We Built, a band that MyGlobalMind has previously covered, took their performance to the next level with a set that included a stunning rendition of John Farnham’s “The Voice”. Bobbie Dazzle, a band from the glam era of the 70s, brought a huge dash of prog to their set, which included songs such as “Growing Up On Mars” and “Merry-Go-Round”. Eld Varg, a power trio from Norway, delivered a blistering set of metal that included songs such as “Vulcans Hammer” and “Iron Cobra”.
The final headliner of the festival was Michael Monroe, the former lead singer of Hanoi Rocks, who brought a kick-ass band behind him and delivered a masterclass performance that included songs such as “Dead, Jail Or Rock N Roll” and “Last Train To Tokyo”. As MyGlobalMind notes, “This fella is the bastard child of Mick Jagger and David Lee Roth.
