Unclaimed Jackpot: National Lottery Launches Hilarious Video Appeal to Find Sevenoaks Winner
The National Lottery has released a humorous video in a last-ditch effort to find the winner of an unclaimed Set For Life jackpot, with just days until the deadline hits. According to GB News, a player from Sevenoaks, Kent, must claim their winnings before April 22, 2025, or lose it all forever.
The winning ticket, which will see £10,000 paid into the winner’s bank account every month for the next three decades, was bought on October 24, 2024, for just £1.50. The ticket features the numbers 11, 29, 37, 45, along with the Life Ball number 6. As GB News reports, the National Lottery has been urging players to check their tickets for months, as the whopping £3.6million prize remains unclaimed.
In the video, a person dressed in a blue morph suit with a cardboard ticket strapped to them runs around Sevenoaks station, struggling to get through the barriers before running around the district. A man with a megaphone reads out an important message: "Sevenoaks, this is a message for you. We’re here looking for the winning Set For Life ticket. Are you the winner of £10,000 every month for 30 years?" As quoted by GB News, the lottery organisers have also been raising awareness on the streets of the town in a bid to find the missing winner.
Residents have been greeted with a giant replica of the National Lottery Set For Life winning ticket and oversized newspapers in an attempt to locate the ticket holder. Patrick Lisoire from Allwyn, the operator of The National Lottery, said: "Sevenoaks station is one of the busiest transport hubs in the district, so it’s possible the lucky ticketholder, or someone they know, is travelling through here. If they are, hopefully we will have reminded them to check that ticket and then, fingers crossed, some very lucky person will do just that and realise they are now ‘set for life’. Wouldn’t it be incredible to be able to swap a season ticket for a winning National Lottery ticket!" This was reported by GB News.
Southeastern’s Sevenoaks Station Manager, Jack Heidrey, added: "It’s exciting to think that one of our commuters could be the winning ticketholder but maybe doesn’t know it yet. We hope that by lending our support to The National Lottery in this life-changing search, someone from Sevenoaks will soon have 10,000 reasons a month to enjoy life’s journey." As stated by GB News, if the lucky player does not claim their prize, then any unclaimed money, including interest accrued, will be redirected to support National Lottery Projects.
Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings before the money goes elsewhere. According to GB News, the National Lottery is urging players to check their tickets and come forward to claim their prize. The deadline for claiming the prize is fast approaching, and it remains to be seen whether the winner will come forward to claim their life-changing prize.
