Anna Woolhouse’s Glowing Health Update: Presenter Shares Swimsuit Snap

Anna Woolhouse Shares Health Update After Undergoing Surgery for Endometriosis

Sky Sports presenter Anna Woolhouse has provided an update on her health after undergoing surgery earlier this month for endometriosis. The 41-year-old underwent a laparoscopic operation, her second in seven years for the condition, and has been sharing her journey with her followers on social media.

According to The Sun, Woolhouse revealed that she would be off screens for "two or three weeks" after the operation. However, in a recent post, she shared that she has been back in the swimming pool as she steps up her recovery. Alongside a picture of herself smiling in her bathing suit, Woolhouse wrote: "This fish is very happy to be back in the water. After not being able to do a great deal the last few weeks today felt SO good to be back in the pool."

Woolhouse, who is primarily known for presenting Sky Sports’ boxing coverage, including several Anthony Joshua fights, opened up on living with her condition. She wrote: "The comeback is always greater than the setback. It’s been quite the ride the past 7 days. Last week I had my second laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis in 7 years, it was done by the surgeon controlling a robot which blows my mind… it ended up being a slightly chunkier op than I’d bargained for but all ok in the end."

As reported by The Sun, Woolhouse also highlighted the importance of raising awareness about endometriosis, which affects 1 in 10 women. She added: "March was endometriosis awareness month, I know I’m a couple of days late, but it’s important to still shine a light on condition that still isn’t known or spoken about nearly enough. It is a condition that affects 1 in 10 women and for so many even getting a diagnosis is a long, emotional and painful process and can be incredibly debilitating to live with."

Woolhouse’s condition has resulted in some significant challenges, including missed opportunities and heartbreaking blows. She wrote: "I was first diagnosed back in 2017 after years of endless GP appointments. I had my first surgery in 2018 and for a couple of years my symptoms did improve, but alas it came back and in recent years has resulted in some heartbreaking blows and ultimately meant having another surgery, really hoping this will be it."

The presenter has worked on various sports for Sky Sports, including boxing and darts. She has presented coverage of the World Darts Championship from Alexandra Palace and recently covered Lauren Price’s victory over Natasha Jonas at the Royal Albert Hall. As The Sun previously reported, Woolhouse is a popular presenter on Sky Sports, and her followers have been supportive throughout her recovery.

In her latest update, Woolhouse expressed her gratitude for being able to move her body and her enthusiasm for getting back into proper training. She concluded: "No big sessions yet and swimming/stationary bike are really all I can do atm, but one big thing I’ve taken away from not being able to do a great deal post op is how much we can take for granted what a privilege it is being able to move our bodies. I cannot wait to get stuck back into proper training and hopefully tick off a couple of big challenges this summer."
