Yarde Aims Verbal Jabs at Arthur Before Tottenham Bout

Anthony Yarde Plots Upset Against Lyndon Arthur at Tottenham Stadium

In a bold move, Arsenal fan Anthony Yarde has revealed he may walk out to the Gunners’ theme song "North London Forever" ahead of his highly anticipated trilogy bout against Lyndon Arthur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The light-heavyweight star, a two-time world title challenger, has been wearing Arsenal attire throughout the week, potentially riling up Spurs fans in attendance.

According to The Sun, Yarde, 33, teased the possibility of walking out to the iconic song, stating: "I might even come in to the theme song." This move is sure to generate excitement and tension among the fans at the stadium. Yarde’s decision to don Arsenal colours has already sparked controversy, with some speculating it may be a ploy to unsettle his opponent.

Yarde and Arthur have a storied history, with their rivalry dating back to 2020. Yarde was stunned to a points defeat by Arthur in their first encounter but viciously got redemption in the rematch with a brutal fourth-round stoppage. Now, they prepare to settle the score nearly half a decade after their rivalry first started.

As per The Sun, Yarde said: "Sometimes that’s just how it all works out and it’s boxing. I just take every fight very, very seriously. He’s going to be a person that wants to get, you can call it revenge." Yarde aims to do a better job than he did in the previous two fights, stating: "I want to do a better job than I done last time. It’s due to be a good clash."

Arthur, 33, is also focused on securing a win, stating: "I have to be better than the first (fight) better than the second fight. I have to take from both, good things that I did in both. Obviously, the second fight was only four rounds but there were still some good bits." Arthur believes Yarde may be taking the fight lightly, saying: "Personally, I think he’s taking this fight lightly. By accident, just naturally thinking it will be easy because of how the second fight went."

The highly anticipated bout is part of the undercard for the blockbuster clash between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn, which promises to be one of the biggest boxing events of the 21st century. Familial tension and a rivalry that has been brewing for years will finally be resolved when Eubank Jr and Benn meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night.

The event, which will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, has generated significant interest, with The Sun providing full coverage of the blockbuster clash all week and LIVE round-by-round coverage of every fight on a stacked undercard.

As reported by The Sun, this weekend’s event promises to be an action-packed and thrilling experience for boxing fans, with multiple high-stakes bouts taking place. With Yarde and Arthur set to face off, fans can expect an intense and closely contested match. Will Yarde’s Arsenal-themed mind games pay off, or will Arthur secure a win? Only time will tell.
