Barcelona’s Probable Lineup for Copa del Rey Final Against Real Madrid Revealed
According to reports from AS, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has a clear idea of the lineup he will field in the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid this Saturday at La Cartuja. The German tactician will not hold back, deploying his strongest possible XI to conquer the coveted trophy.
In the recent match against Mallorca, Flick gave a glimpse of the lineup that will take to the pitch, leaving five first-team players on the bench: Raphinha, Cubarsí, Frenkie de Jong, and Koundé. Additionally, Gerard Martín, who will replace the injured Alejandro Balde on the left flank, was also rested.
Robert Lewandowski, who is struggling with a hamstring injury, will be a notable absentee. However, Flick is confident that Ferran Torres can fill the void, given the player’s exceptional form at present. As AS reports, the rest of the lineup is almost certain, with Wojciech Szczesny set to start in goal, despite the recovery of Ter Stegen.
The defence is expected to feature Íñigo as a key reference, partnered with Cubarsí in the centre, and Koundé and Martín on the flanks. As quoted by AS, "Flick has a very clear idea of the lineup he will present this Saturday… He will not hold back, putting his best resources on the pitch."
In midfield, Frenkie de Jong is set to play as a pivot, accompanied by Pedri and Olmo. The attacking trio is expected to consist of Ferran Torres as the ‘9’, with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha providing support. As AS notes, Lamine Yamal has been sporting a platinum-blond hair colour, adding to the excitement surrounding the young player.
