Self Esteem Releases New Album ‘A Complicated Woman’ and Single ‘The Deep Blue Okay’

Renowned British singer-songwriter Self Esteem, whose real name is Rebecca Lucy Taylor, has released her latest album ‘A Complicated Woman’ via Polydor Records, alongside a new single ‘The Deep Blue Okay’. According to a report by Read Dork, the album features contributions from a diverse range of female voices, including Nadine Shah, Moonchild Sanelly, Sue Tompkins from Life Without Buildings, Meatball, and actress Julie Hesmondhalgh.

The album ‘A Complicated Woman’ follows Self Esteem’s 2021 album ‘Prioritise Pleasure’, which was nominated for the BRIT and Mercury Prize. As Read Dork reports, the new album showcases Taylor’s unique blend of music styles and her ability to collaborate with a wide range of artists. The album’s release is accompanied by a new single ‘The Deep Blue Okay’, which has been made available on various music platforms.

Self Esteem recently completed a theatrical run of ‘A Complicated Woman Live’ at London’s Duke Of York’s Theatre, performing five nights across seven shows. According to Read Dork, the performances sold out immediately upon announcement, demonstrating the artist’s growing popularity. Fans can still experience the live show, as Self Esteem has announced her largest UK and Ireland tour to date, with dates scheduled for September and October.

The tour, which will take place across various venues in the UK and Ireland, includes dates at the O2 Academy in Birmingham, Usher Hall in Edinburgh, and the Olympia Theatre in Dublin. As reported by Read Dork, the tour dates are as follows:
