Rupert Grint Welcomes Second Child with Georgia Groome
According to a report by Metro.co.uk, Rupert Grint, the British actor best known for his role as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise, has confirmed the arrival of his second child with long-term girlfriend Georgia Groome.
The news comes five years after the birth of the couple’s eldest daughter, Wednesday. Metro.co.uk reports that Rupert was seen out and about with the new baby in Hampstead on Sunday. He later took to Instagram to break the news on his own profile, uploading a photo of the newborn lying inside a leopard-print fleece and wearing a grey cardigan.
In his caption, Rupert seemingly poked fun at how the news had already leaked, writing: "Secret Child Slightly Revealed" Introducing Goldie G. Grint. " A 10/10 baby (so far)". The couple’s new addition is named Goldie, and according to Metro.co.uk, she appears to have inherited Rupert’s Weasley-esque red hair.
Rupert and Georgia, who have been together since 2011, have largely kept their relationship private. However, they were quick to share their excitement with fans on social media, with Rupert praising their doctor, @alex.digesu, for "always delivering". The couple were inundated with congratulatory messages from fans celebrating the arrival of "another member of the Weasley household".
As reported by Metro.co.uk, Rupert first joined Instagram in 2020 to announce the birth of his first child, almost immediately racking up a million followers (he now has 5.3million). In an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rupert revealed that his firstborn child, Wednesday, was "struggling" to adjust to life in the UK after spending most of her time in America. He shared that she had a few favourite things, including Hoagies, water rides, and Target. Jimmy also admitted his kids "loved" the shop, branding it "unbelievable", with Rupert saying Wednesday would choose Target over going to the park.
The news of Rupert and Georgia’s second child has sent shockwaves of excitement among fans, with many taking to social media to congratulate the happy couple. As Metro.co.uk reports, the family keeps things private, but it’s clear that they’re thrilled to welcome Goldie to their family.
