Genius Game: The Rules and Format Explained
In a new and exciting television series, actor David Tennant takes on the role of The Creator, hosting the innovative game show Genius Game. Adapted from a popular South Korean format, the programme brings together some of the country’s most brilliant minds to compete for a cash prize. According to Radio Times, the contestants include a diverse range of individuals, such as a crime writer, a forensic scientist, two doctors, and a PhD student.
The contestants will face a series of challenges designed to test their intellectual abilities, as well as their strategic thinking and social manipulation skills. As Radio Times reports, the games are a mix of never-before-seen challenges and some that have been adapted from the Korean format. Tennant will oversee the action, guiding the contestants through the competition.
In an interview, Radio Times explains that the contestants will play a total of 12 rounds, with one player eliminated each round. Each round consists of a main match and a death match. The main match determines the winner and the eliminated player, with the winner receiving a Token of Life, granting them immunity from the death match.
The player who placed last in the main match will then choose another player to face in the death match, which determines who will be eliminated. The winner of the death match will receive the garnets from the eliminated player. According to Radio Times, this format is designed to encourage strategic thinking and social manipulation, as contestants must carefully consider their actions to outfox their opponents.
The show’s format, as explained by Radio Times, has been adapted from the original South Korean series. The programme promises to be an exciting and intellectually stimulating competition, with some of the country’s brightest minds competing for a cash prize.
