The player who placed last in the main match will then choose another player to face in the death match, which determines who will be eliminated. The winner of the death match will receive the garnets from the eliminated player. According to Radio Times, this format is designed to encourage strategic thinking and social manipulation, as contestants must carefully consider their actions to outfox their opponents.
