Billie Piper Turns Heads at Olaplex Dinner Event in London
A star-studded event took place in London on Thursday evening, as celebrities gathered for the Olaplex dinner. Among the attendees was Billie Piper, the 42-year-old Doctor Who star, who turned heads with her stunning outfit.
According to the Daily Mail, Billie made a bold statement in a sheer black lace maxi dress that hugged her incredible figure. She completed her striking look with black pointed heels and wore her auburn locks in loose curls.
The Doctor Who star was joined by the ever-stylish Nicola Coughlan, 38, who looked effortlessly chic in an all-black outfit. The Bridgerton star opted for a sleek mini dress paired with black stockings and towering platform heels. She styled her icy blonde hair in soft curls and added a pop of color with a swipe of rosy pink lipstick.
Other attendees at the event included Bel Powley, Jessica Pimentel, Flossie Clegg, Millie Hannah, and Varada Sethu. The pair appeared in high spirits as they posed for snaps at the event alongside their fellow guests.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Billie’s appearance at the event comes after it was revealed that she is returning to the Doctor Who universe opposite Christopher Eccleston. The BBC show is marking 20 years since its modern revival, and Billie is set to reprise her role as Rose Tyler for a series of Big Finish Audio dramas, which will be released in August 2025.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Billie expressed her excitement about the new audio series, saying: "I can’t think of a better time for Rose to reunite with her first Doctor than now. Twenty years after she first ran into the TARDIS and towards adventure, here we are again, me and Chris, ready to have fun facing the universe – and the monsters – together."
Christopher Eccleston, who played the Ninth Doctor, also shared his thoughts on the new audio series, stating: "I am so happy to be back recording more adventures for the Ninth Doctor with Billie. I don’t think my Doctor exists without Rose. He’s a ‘one man, one companion’ kind of alien. There’s a resilience and a bravery and a deep empathy to Billie as Rose. They complete each other."
The new audio series will feature 12 episodes, with the Doctor’s past returning to haunt him and enemies old and new waiting. Producer Matt Fitton added: "Twenty years after the Ninth Doctor and Rose burst onto our screens, Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper are back with that brilliant dynamic – the Doctor showing Rose the universe, and Rose showing him the best of humanity."
Big Finish have produced multiple audio dramas featuring Doctor Who stars since 1999, with big names including David Tennant, Catherine Tate, Peter Davison, and Jodie Whittaker reprising their roles from the original show. Doctor Who first hit screens in 1963 and has since become a beloved and iconic television series.
