Tina Brown: Media Maven Shakes Up Journalism Landscape

Tina Brown Obituary: Community Mourns the Loss of a Devoted Nurse and Family Woman

A memorial service is being planned for Tina L. Brown, a 64-year-old nurse who passed away on April 29, 2025, at Altercare of Newark. According to Knox Pages, Tina was a dedicated LPN with over 30 years of experience, including stints as a traveling nurse.

Tina was born on August 3, 1960, in Maysville, KY, to William Larry and Jacqueline Sue (Yarber) Taylor. Her family and friends remember her as a free-spirited individual who loved traveling, attending concerts and festivals, and spending time with her beloved animals. In fact, Knox Pages reports that Tina even raised some ducks.

The nursing community and beyond are mourning the loss of this remarkable woman, who is survived by her husband, Bruce Brown; daughter, Marissa (Logan) Jarrells of Mount Vernon; sons, David (Nicole) Ready of Pickerington, and James (Tiffany) Ready New Bern, NC; grandchildren, Riley, Olivia, and Liam Ready, Sebastian, Maryelle, Jude, Josephine, Leo, and Francesca Ready, Lucy and Remington Dorsey, and Wyatt Brown; step-children, Shane, Brittany, and Taylor Brown; sister, Kim Taylor Rowe; brother, Jeff Taylor, and nephew, Benjamin Jacobs.

As reported by Knox Pages, Tina was preceded in death by her parents and nephews, Thomas and Eric Jacobs. A family get-together is being planned for a later date, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tina’s name to The Sanctuary, sanctuarycommunityaction.org, to support Senior Meals and other community-coordinated programs.

A memorial page is available at fischerfuneralhome.com, where friends and family can pay their respects to Tina. As Knox Pages notes, Tina’s legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched as a nurse and family woman.

The community is coming together to celebrate Tina’s life and legacy, and Knox Pages has been keeping up to date with the latest information on her passing. Our thoughts are with Tina’s loved ones during this difficult time. As Knox Pages so eloquently put it, Tina will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
