Verstappen Claims Pole as F1 Qualifying Heats Up for Miami GP



The grid for the upcoming Formula 1 race has been confirmed, with Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes securing pole position, according to information from the BBC.

Antonelli, an Italian driver, will start from the front of the grid, with his teammate George Russell in fifth place. Oscar Piastri of McLaren will start in second position, with a qualifying time of 1:26.527, while Lando Norris, also of McLaren, will start in third, as reported by the BBC.

Max Verstappen, the current World Champion from the Netherlands, will start in fourth position, driving for Red Bull. His teammate, Yuki Tsunoda from Japan, will start from 18th position. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari will start in sixth position, with his teammate Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time World Champion from Great Britain, in seventh.

Other notable drivers include Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin in 10th position, and Esteban Ocon of Haas in 12th. Pierre Gasly of Alpine will start in 13th, while his teammate, Isack Hadjar from France, will start in ninth.

The bottom five positions on the grid are filled by Lance Stroll of Aston Martin in 16th, Jack Doohan of Alpine in 17th, Yuki Tsunoda of Red Bull in 18th, Gabriel Bortoleto of Sauber in 19th, and Oliver Bearman of Haas in 20th.

In terms of fastest laps, Antonelli secured the fastest time in Qualifying 3 with a lap of 1:26.482, while Norris and Piastri also recorded fastest laps in their respective qualifying sessions, according to the BBC.
