CMAT Announces Intimate UK Tour Ahead of Glastonbury Festival
Singer-songwriter CMAT has revealed that she will be performing a series of four intimate shows in the UK this summer, just ahead of her highly anticipated slot at Glastonbury Festival. The Irish musician took to social media on May 6th to break the news to her fans, confirming that she will be bringing her "Glasto-warmup-mini-tour" to Liverpool, Bedford, Falmouth, and Frome.
According to an announcement made by CMAT on her social media account, as reported by Far Out Magazine, the four shows will take place on June 21st, 22nd, 24th, and 25th, respectively. The singer has promised that these gigs will be very small in capacity, with no phones allowed in attendance. As Far Out Magazine previously reported, CMAT explained that the shows will feature her 60-minute-long Official Glastonbury set, played in one go, with no encores.
"We will be playing our 60-minute-long Official Glastonbury in one go, as we will be on the [REDACTED] stage," CMAT wrote, as quoted in Far Out Magazine. "No encores, no phones, just a lot of sexy people living in the moment and me presumably crowd surfing after a singular beer." The mini tour announcement comes off the back of a busy summer for CMAT, who is currently supporting Sam Fender on his European tour. She will also be opening for Fender on his stadium shows in Newcastle and London in June. As Far Out Magazine previously noted, CMAT’s sophomore album, Euro-Country, is set for release on August 29th, before she embarks on her own headline tour of the UK, Ireland, and Europe towards the end of the year.
Tickets for CMAT’s summer mini tour will go on sale on May 9th at 10am, with presale available to those who pre-order Euro-Country before May 7th. Fans who pre-order the album will have the chance to purchase tickets before they go on general sale, as reported by Far Out Magazine.
