Shakira’s Children Steal the Show at Miami Charity Event
Milan and Sasha, the children of Colombian pop sensation Shakira, have stunned audiences with their impressive musical talents at a charity gala in Miami. The two youngsters, aged 8 and 10 respectively, took to the stage at the Let It Beat foundation’s event, which aims to showcase emerging talent through its Next Generation of Artist program.
According to reports from El Heraldo, the siblings wowed the crowd with their rendition of the song "The One", showcasing their impressive vocal range and musical skills. The performance was shared on social media, with many praising the children’s talents.
The event, which was attended by Shakira herself, saw Milan and Sasha dressed in stylish outfits, with Milan sporting a black pants and blazer with gold details, while Sasha wore an all-white ensemble. The proud mother was seen beaming with pride as she watched her children take the stage.
"Qué talento de todos los niños en especial de nuestros consentidos Milán y Sasha"; "Heredaron el talento de su mami Shakira!!"; "Que espectaculares los dos!"; "Queremos ese video en youtube; que hermosos todos los niños que ternura"; "Fue una noche mágica… Increíble… Llena de buena música… La pasé súper chévere! Mucho talento en un solo lugar!", were just some of the comments on social media praising the children’s performance.
Shakira has been making headlines recently, not just for her children’s talents, but also for her own achievements. The 47-year-old singer recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where she performed a nostalgic rendition of her hit song "Hips Don’t Lie" alongside Wyclef Jean.
During her appearance on the show, Shakira also opened up about her career, sharing stories about her new world tour, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which has broken records across the continent. The tour has seen Shakira perform to sold-out crowds, with 11 stadiums exhausted in Mexico City alone.
As El Heraldo reports, Shakira attributed her success to her fans, saying "Tengo los mejores fans del mundo. Han estado conmigo en los buenos y malos momentos. Siempre aparecen".
Shakira’s appearance on The Tonight Show was not without its lighter moments, with Fallon attempting to imitate Shakira’s signature dance moves, much to the amusement of the audience.
In related news, Shakira is set to return to The Tonight Show later this month, where she will perform her iconic ballad "Antología", a song that has been a staple of her live shows for many years.
