The show, which charts the day-to-day life of Jeremy Clarkson’s farm based in the Cotswolds, has gained a significant following since its inception. As The Evening Standard reports, the trailer for the new series shows Jeremy Clarkson explaining that while he is happy for Kaleb, the farm manager has left him "slightly in the lurch" by swanning off around the UK. Harriet’s role on the show will be to help manage the farm and bring her expertise as a nurse and farmer.
Harriet Cowan is a highly qualified individual, having graduated from the University of Derby with a degree in nursing in 2023. She works full-time as a nurse but has always helped her father out on the family farm. Her parents, who she remains close to, inspired her to pursue both careers. Her mother worked as a nurse, while her father runs the family farm. In an interview with The Evening Standard, it is reported that Harriet has used her platform to campaign for farmer’s rights and has been an active voice on social media, highlighting the realities of working on a farm.
As a farmer and nurse, Harriet Cowan brings a unique perspective to the show. She has been involved in various farming-related activities, including being named her town’s Young Farmers’ spokesperson. She continues to use social media to raise awareness about the challenges faced by farmers. Despite initially admitting she had never watched Clarkson’s Farm before joining, Harriet appeared to quickly get stuck in on Diddly Squat farm, helping to tend to animals and even erect fences.
According to The Evening Standard, Harriet Cowan is reportedly in a relationship with fellow farmer James Booth, who shares her passion for agriculture. The couple attended the Farmers Protest in London together in November 2024, where thousands gathered to protest against planned agricultural inheritance taxation policies. The fourth series of Clarkson’s Farm will continue to show the farm on a day-to-day basis and will also follow Clarkson as he attempts to open a pub as part of his Farm to Fork restaurant vision. The series will be made up of eight episodes, which will have a staggered release over three weeks. The first four episodes will drop on Amazon Prime on May 23, followed by two more on May 30 and the final two on June 6.
