In a recent interview, a current WWE champion has made some surprising comments about CM Punk’s recent WrestleMania 41 main event appearance. According to ITRWrestling.com, Dominik Mysterio, the current Intercontinental Champion, believes that CM Punk threw tantrums to get handed a main event spot at WrestleMania 41.
Mysterio made these comments in an interview with The Wrestling Classic on Casual Conversations, as reported by ITRWrestling.com. "I think we just both mutually hate each other, equally. I fucking hate CM Punk. I don’t know what it is about that guy. I don’t know if it’s because he looks like Eddie Munster and I want to kick him in the fucking face, or the fact that everyone is like, ‘He finally did it, he finally got his WrestleMania main event.’ Good for you, old man. 60 years old, it took you what, 45 years to accomplish your one goal? It’s about time," Mysterio said.
Mysterio went on to suggest that CM Punk’s main event spot was a result of throwing tantrums, comparing it to a child who throws a tantrum to get what they want. "It’s what they say about babies. When they have tantrums, you give them what they want so they shut the fuck up. I’m pretty sure that’s what happened. That’s why he needed a favor from Paul Heyman," he said, as quoted by ITRWrestling.com.

I was on this what, at the time, was a historic run with the belt. Four hundred thirty-four days, obviously shattered by Roman Reigns since I’ve been gone, and what I needed was guys to work with," Punk said, as reported by ITRWrestling.com.
Punk went on to explain that he was always looking towards the future and trying to elevate other Superstars. "I was always looking towards the future. Yeah, there’s the now, there’s me, and there’s Cena. But outside of that, I would look at the landscape and be like, ‘What do we need to do to get money-talent in the position that I’m in now? How do I bring guys up? How do we elevate Superstars?’" he said, as quoted by ITRWrestling.com.
