Fantasy Premier League: GW 37’s Top Team Revealed

Premier League Fantasy Football: Scout Selection for Gameweek 37

As the 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League season nears its conclusion, the Scout Selection for Gameweek 37 has been revealed, featuring five players from Aston Villa and Chelsea. According to the Premier League’s official website, both Villa and Chelsea’s respective visitors, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, have been heavily rotating their domestic line-ups recently due to their progress in the UEFA Europa League, with the final taking place next Wednesday.

The Scout Selection, as reported by the Premier League, includes Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez (£5.0m), Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella (£5.4m), and three Chelsea players in attack: Cole Palmer (£10.5m), Morgan Rogers (£5.7m), and Ollie Watkins (£9.0m). Watkins has been handed the captaincy, influenced by Spurs’ recent teamsheets, with Mbeumo named as vice-captain. The Premier League’s Scout Selection also includes David Moyes (£0.5m) as the Assistant Manager for Everton’s final match at Goodison Park against Southampton.

The Premier League’s official website highlights Emiliano Martinez as a secure route into the Villa backline for their encounter with Spurs, having collected back-to-back clean sheets for the first time this season, totalling 17 points against Fulham and AFC Bournemouth. Martinez is joined by Marc Cucurella, who is the top-scoring defender in home matches this season, with 80 points across his 17 outings at Stamford Bridge.

In addition to Cucurella, the Premier League’s Scout Selection includes Josko Gvardiol (£6.5m) from Manchester City, who sits just four points off the top of the defender standings on 143 points, thanks to his potential at both ends of the pitch. The Croat has five goals and 12 clean sheets to his name ahead of Manchester City’s home meeting with Bournemouth.

The Premier League’s Scout Selection also features several attacking players, including Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) from Liverpool, who has been involved in eight big chances – situations where the player is expected to score – during his last four matches, more than any other player in Fantasy. Cole Palmer (£10.5m) from Chelsea is also included, having returned 10 points in his last Stamford Bridge outing, and is still the joint-second top-scoring player in home matches this season.

Other players featured in the Premier League’s Scout Selection include Bryan Mbeumo (£8.3m) from Brentford, who has scored two goals and provided three assists over his last four outings, and Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) from West Ham, who enters a home fixture against Nottingham Forest in his most consistent form of the season. The Premier League’s Scout Selection also includes Morgan Rogers (£5.7m) and Ollie Watkins (£9.0m) from Aston Villa, who have both been in impressive form this season.

The Premier League’s official website notes that managers have made Ollie Watkins their No 1 priority ahead of Friday’s deadline, with many of them eyeing him up as a captain option in the hope that Spurs will rotate again on Friday evening. Watkins has earned 271,000+ new owners, according to the Premier League.

The final player featured in the Premier League’s Scout Selection is Jamie Vardy (£5.3m) from Leicester, who has a home encounter with Ipswich Town, giving him the perfect opportunity to score his 200th goal for Leicester City in his final match for the club. Kieran McKenna’s side have conceded in 16 successive away matches, according to the Premier League.

The Scout Selection for Gameweek 37 is as follows:

  • Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa) £5.0m
  • Josko Gvardiol (Man City) £6.5m
  • Marc Cucurella (Chelsea) £5.4m
  • Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton) £4.8m
  • Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £13.7m
  • Cole Palmer (Chelsea) £10.5m
  • Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) £8.3m
  • Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) £7.7m
  • Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) £5.7m
  • Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) £9.0m
  • Jamie Vardy (Leicester) £5.3m
