Dakota Johnson Reveals Pedro Pascal’s Unconventional Career Advice
In a recent interview with Elle UK, actress Dakota Johnson revealed that her co-star Pedro Pascal has suggested she start an account on OnlyFans, a platform known for its exclusive and often explicit content. According to Johnson, Pascal jokingly suggested that she could simply wiggle her toe and make money on the site.
The Fifty Shades of Grey actress admitted that she has almost no familiarity with OnlyFans, stating, "I don’t know anything about that. I don’t know. OnlyFans is the place where people go to watch people do weird things? Are OnlyFans models hot? Are they different to regular models?" Despite her lack of knowledge, Johnson expressed curiosity about the platform, saying, "I feel like I would look at OnlyFans models on Instagram if I knew how to do that. It sounds interesting. Sounds intriguing."
As reported by Entertainment Weekly (EW.com), Johnson and Pascal star together in the upcoming romantic comedy Materialists, which hits theaters on June 13. The two actors recently reflected on their friendship in an interview with Elle, during which Pascal recounted their first encounter at the 2014 Golden Globes.
According to Pascal, he and Johnson met at an HBO party during the Golden Globes, where they "banded together" and looked after each other. However, Johnson had no recollection of the encounter, saying, "That’s so crazy that I don’t remember meeting you there. It feels like something substantial happened to me that night and I’m blocking it out."
The two actors later reconnected at the Met Gala, although Pascal admitted that he was less taken with Johnson during their second encounter. "I loved you the first time and then I didn’t think you were that nice to me at the Met Gala," he said. Johnson attributed her behavior to her discomfort at the event, stating, "I find the Met Gala is like The Twilight Zone. I don’t know what the f— is going on. I don’t feel I connect with any human beings in a real way; it’s like going into some sort of vortex."
Pascal and Johnson have since discussed their past encounters, with Johnson joking that Pascal has brought up the topic multiple times. "This is maybe the 37th time we’ve had this conversation. The 37th time Pedro makes me feel like an absolute piece of s— for not remembering him," she said.
While Johnson is unlikely to pursue an OnlyFans career anytime soon, some celebrities have embraced the platform, including Denise Richards, Cardi B, Kate Nash, and Lily Allen. As for Johnson and Pascal, fans can look forward to seeing them on the big screen together in Materialists this summer.
In the interview with Elle UK, Johnson also opened up about her feelings towards Pascal, stating that her first impression of him was positive. "My first impression of you was: ‘Wow, this guy is so cool. What a nice man that I’ve definitely never met before.’ And then I loved you very quickly." Pascal responded, "The hurt that I felt at the Met Gala was connected to love."
