Lewis Names Heavyweight Who Can Dethrone Usyk

Renowned Boxer Lennox Lewis Tips Daniel Dubois to Dethrone Oleksandr Usyk

In a recent statement, esteemed boxer Lennox Lewis expressed his conviction that Daniel Dubois possesses the necessary attributes to become the first man to defeat Oleksandr Usyk. According to Lewis, Dubois has what it takes to end Usyk’s remarkable reign in the heavyweight division.

As reported by Seconds Out, Lewis believes that Dubois is ready to take on the challenge of beating Usyk, citing his previous experience and power as key factors. "I’m thinking he’s ready," Lewis told Queensberry. "He’s been through the trials and tribulations. He’s the king slayer. He’s got the power. He’s been there before. He knocked [Usyk] down, so he knows what he needs to do."

Usyk, a Ukrainian boxer, has been on a phenomenal run in his professional career, remaining undefeated in 23 fights. He has won numerous titles, including becoming the undisputed champion in the cruiserweight division and subsequently moving up to heavyweight to achieve the same feat. His impressive resume includes victories over notable opponents such as Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua, and Tyson Fury.

However, Lewis is confident that Dubois can be the one to finally beat Usyk. "It would be great for him to do it, another man from Great Britain," Lewis added. "It’s not an easy task, but he’s definitely the man that can go through with it. He’s done the work. He’s gone through the pedigree. He’s a certified world champion and I think he has big hopes on doing it. He’s going to do it."

Dubois will face Usyk on July 19 at Wembley Stadium, with the aim of becoming the first man to ever be a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion. A win for either Dubois or Usyk would be swiftly followed by a mandatory defence of their WBO belt against former champion Joseph Parker.

The upcoming bout between Usyk and Dubois has generated significant interest in the boxing world, with many experts weighing in on the potential outcome. As noted by Seconds Out, Lewis’s endorsement of Dubois’s chances is a significant boost to the young boxer’s profile.

In conclusion, Lennox Lewis’s prediction that Daniel Dubois can beat Oleksandr Usyk has added fuel to the fire ahead of their highly anticipated bout. With Dubois’s power and previous experience, Lewis believes that he has what it takes to emerge victorious. As reported by Seconds Out, Lewis’s comments have sparked a renewed interest in the upcoming fight, with many fans eagerly awaiting the outcome.
