Breaking News: Egyptian Weather Forecast Sees Significant Drop in Temperatures

A significant drop in temperatures is expected to hit Egypt today, with a marked decrease of up to 8 degrees Celsius in the northern regions of the country, according to Dr. Mahmoud Al-Qyati, a member of the media centre at the Egyptian Meteorological Authority. The temperature drop will affect the northern coast and the Nile Delta region, with Cairo expected to reach a high of around 32 degrees Celsius.

In an interview with the popular Egyptian morning programme, "Good Morning Egypt", Dr. Al-Qyati explained that the southern governorates of Upper Egypt will continue to experience high temperatures, while the low temperatures at night will drop to less than 20 degrees Celsius. He also noted that there will be a moderate wind blowing across most parts of the country, with a possibility of sand and dust storms in some areas of the Red Sea governorate.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has warned of a temporary rise in temperatures on Monday, with an increase of 1-2 degrees Celsius, accompanied by strong winds and sandstorms in the governorates of Upper Egypt and the Suez Canal cities. These conditions may extend to parts of Cairo and the Nile Delta region.

According to Dr. Al-Qyati, temperatures are expected to stabilise at around 31-32 degrees Celsius until the end of the week, with a gradual increase in temperatures expected towards the end of the week and the beginning of next week. The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has advised citizens to take precautions to avoid the harmful effects of high temperatures, including avoiding direct exposure to the sun for long periods, wearing a hat, and drinking large amounts of water and fluids.

The authority has also advised people with respiratory problems to follow the daily weather forecasts and wear masks. Dr. Al-Qyati’s statements were broadcast on the popular morning programme, "Good Morning Egypt", which is aired daily on Egyptian Channel 1 at 7am.

The programme’s broadcast can be followed live on the Egyptian Meteorological Authority’s website, and viewers can also watch the programme’s video content on YouTube.

In related news, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority continues to provide up-to-date weather forecasts and warnings to the public through its website and social media channels. Citizens are advised to follow these sources for the latest information on weather conditions.
