Good Morning America Highlights: May 12-17
ABC’s flagship morning programme, Good Morning America, has announced its highlights for the week of May 12-17. The Emmy Award-winning programme, anchored by Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and Michael Strahan, with Ginger Zee as chief meteorologist, airs live on ABC from 7:00-9:00 a.m. EDT, Monday to Friday.
According to a press release from ABC News, the programme has lined up an exciting schedule of guests and segments for the upcoming week. On Monday, May 12, the cast of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" will discuss the new season, and actor Oliver Stark from "9-1-1" will make an appearance. The programme’s May YA Book Club pick author, Tia Williams, and her daughter will also be on the show to discuss their book, "Audre & Bash Are Just Friends". Additionally, chef Dan Churchill will share his meal plans for the "GMA 5K" and Tory Johnson will present Deals & Steals.
Tuesday, May 13, will feature actor, comedian, and host of "Dancing with the Stars" and "America’s Funniest Home Videos", Alfonso Ribeiro. "ESPN Monday Night Football" announcers Troy Aikman and Joe Buck will also be on the programme. Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts and her siblings will discuss their new book, "Lucy Sings on Lucy Street". Tory Johnson will once again present Deals & Steals.
On Wednesday, May 14, Good Morning America will host its first-ever nationwide virtual fun run, the "GMA 5K". The programme will also feature a performance by The 502s. Thursday, May 15, will see actress Ana de Armas discussing her new film, "From the World of John Wick: Ballerina". Co-directors Nyle DiMarco and Davis Guggenheim will also be on the programme to talk about their documentary, "Deaf President Now!". Tory Johnson will present Deals & Steals for the fourth consecutive day.
Friday, May 16, will feature actor Stanley Tucci discussing his new series, "Tucci in Italy", with Good Morning America co-anchor Michael Strahan. Tory Johnson will present Deals & Steals for the fifth consecutive day. The programme will also celebrate the Disneyland Resort’s 70th anniversary. On Saturday, May 17, actress Lynn Whitfield will appear on the programme to discuss her role in "The Chi".
