Alex Jones Apologizes for David Tennant Show Spoiler

Alex Jones, co-presenter of The One Show, recently had to apologise to David Tennant after accidentally dropping a spoiler for his new ITV gameshow, Genius Game. The incident occurred during an interview on The One Show, where David Tennant was promoting his new series.

According to Digital Spy, Alex Jones started to reveal a bit too much about what happens in the show, prompting David Tennant to step in and stop her from going too far. “I’m The Creator,” he explained. “I didn’t create it, but I’m called The Creator. I’m sort of the voice of God and I kind of appear and give [the contestants] instructions and tell them things and make them do things. They’re all very bright and clever.”

As reported by Digital Spy, Alex Jones then mentioned NASA, before David Tennant quickly interjected with: “Well, the NASA thing is a bit of a gag, bit of a spoiler there.” Alex Jones apologised, holding her head in her hands, saying “Sorry, David.” David Tennant replied, “You’ve watched the first episode, that’s fine,” as everyone laughed, before he continued detailing the premise of Genius Game.

The show, as reported by Digital Spy, sees a group of players chosen for their “high intellectual prowess” and “social IQ” competing against each other in a series of unique games designed to test their skills. David Tennant explained that the contestants are a stand-up comic, a crime writer, a forensic scientist, a professional poker player, and a doctor. “So they’re all very bright and very clever but with slightly different mindsets,” he said. “And you kind of wind them up and set them off against each other.”

Genius Game begins on ITV1 and streams on ITVX, while The One Show airs weeknights at 7pm on BBC One and streams on iPlayer, as noted by Digital Spy. Digital Spy also reported that elsewhere on The One Show, Alex and co-host Angellica Bell talked to Matthew Rhys about his new thriller Hallow Road, and Leomie Anderson about the new season of Glow Up.

As per Digital Spy, David Tennant’s new gameshow Genius Game is set to air from tomorrow on ITV1 and ITVX. The show promises to be an exciting and intellectually stimulating series, with a unique format and a group of talented contestants. Fans of David Tennant will be eager to see him in his new role as host of the show. Genius Game begins tomorrow on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.

The One Show’s mishap with the spoiler is a reminder that accidents can happen, even on live television. Fortunately, the incident was handled well by David Tennant, who managed to steer the conversation back on track, as reported by Digital Spy. Fans of The One Show and Genius Game will be looking forward to seeing more of the show and its unique format.
