Sewage Pipe Upgrades Cause Disruption in Angmering Village
Residents and business owners in the village of Angmering are expressing frustration and anger over ongoing roadworks that are part of a larger sewage pipe upgrade project. The upgrades, being carried out by Southern Water, are aimed at connecting new housing developments in the area to the existing sewer network.
According to a report, the largest of these developments is the 525-home Langmead Place housing estate, located north east of the village near the A27. The upgrades are feeding into several housing developments in the area, causing significant disruption to local residents and businesses. Dean King, owner of Meat in The Square butchers, told the BBC that "We’re all pretty angry, I think there’s roads that have been shut which could have stayed open."
