Arsenal Legend Rosicky Rushed to Intensive Care with Heart Issues

Arsenal Legend Tomas Rosicky Discharged from Intensive Care Following Heart-Related Issues

Arsenal legend Tomas Rosicky has been discharged from intensive care and is being cared for at home after suffering heart-related issues, his club Sparta Prague has confirmed. The 44-year-old, who played 247 times for Arsenal across a 10-year spell at the club, was taken into intensive care last week due to heart-related issues.

According to The Daily Mail, Rosicky, who has been Sparta Prague’s sporting director since 2018, faced a distressing episode last week when he suffered this health scare. In a statement, Sparta Prague said: “Our sporting director, Tomas Rosicky was unexpectedly hospitalised in the intensive care unit last Tuesday due to heart-related issues. Neither Tomas nor the club will disclose further details. Fortunately, no surgery was required. Tomas, you have our full support. We’re all thinking of you.”

Rosicky has since been discharged and released a statement updating fans on his health. “As a player and sporting director, I’ve always gone all in,” he explained. “Full effort, no hesitation. But this situation has shown me that I need to take better care of myself. Poor lifestyle habits, lack of physical activity, and family predispositions unfortunately brought me here. The good news is that I’m expected to make a full recovery, though I’m currently unable to carry out the demanding responsibilities of a sporting director. I’ll remain in touch with my colleagues as we’ve always operated as a team. We have a clear vision, strategy, and structured processes in place. The guys will take care of it.”

The Daily Mail reports that Rosicky’s duties are being taken over on an interim basis by Sparta’s sporting manager Tomas Sivok. However, the club confirmed that Rosicky “will continue to support us in a consultative role” as he recovers at home.

Rosicky, who has overseen two Czech titles for Sparta during his tenure, also expressed his gratitude for the support of the club and his family during this challenging time. The former attacking midfielder had been linked with a return to Arsenal earlier this year, although he later stated that he had not received an offer from the club.

According to The Daily Mail, Rosicky said: “The reality is simple. My connection with Arsenal is natural because I spent 10 years there, and when you spend 10 years somewhere you form a strong, very strong bond. So I have this strong bond with Arsenal and I have a strong bond with Sparta Prague. Those are the two clubs that I love football-wise because I have a warm relationship with them. I am honoured by the fact that I am even being considered by Arsenal’s management, but I can say that I don’t have any offer to go to Arsenal.”

The news of Rosicky’s health scare and subsequent discharge has been met with an outpouring of support from fans and the football community. The Daily Mail will continue to provide updates on Rosicky’s condition and recovery.

In related news, Sparta Prague are in the process of looking for a new manager, and it remains to be seen how Rosicky’s health will impact the club’s decision-making process. For now, the focus is on Rosicky’s recovery and his continued support for the club in a consultative role.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of prioritizing health and wellbeing, particularly for individuals in high-pressure roles. Rosicky’s experience highlights the need for individuals to take care of themselves, both physically and mentally, to avoid similar health scares in the future.

The Daily Mail will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
