UFC Vegas 107: Goff vs. Brahimaj – A Preview of the Welterweight Bout

In a thrilling welterweight matchup, Billy Goff (9-3, 1-1 UFC) is set to face Ramiz Brahimaj (11-5, 3-3 UFC) at UFC Vegas 107. According to Sherdog.com, this bout promises to be an exciting encounter between two fighters with contrasting styles.

Goff, known for his aggressive brawling approach, has managed to find success in the UFC despite his tendency to take damage. In his UFC debut, he knocked out Yusaku Kinoshita, showcasing his ability to finish fights. However, in his subsequent bout against Trey Waters, Goff’s wildman approach was not enough to secure a win, as he suffered a decision loss. As Sherdog.com notes, "Goff’s wildman approach has both a clear ceiling and a high floor when it comes to testing out the bottom reaches of the UFC roster."

On the other hand, Brahimaj has struggled to gain momentum in the UFC, largely due to injuries. However, he has shown flashes of brilliance, particularly in his wrestling and grappling abilities. Most of his success has come from establishing his threats early and finding quick submissions. In his last outing, Brahimaj secured a first-round knockout of Mickey Gall, which raised hopes that he might have turned a corner. As Sherdog.com reports, "Brahimaj could just grind his way to a win—or even become the first man to knock out the former CES MMA champion—but the read is that Goff can do his usual thing of surviving against the odds and applying pressure until a finish presents itself."

The odds are in Goff’s favour, with Sherdog.com listing him as the favourite at (-340), while Brahimaj is the underdog at (+270). The publication predicts that Goff will emerge victorious, likely via a second-round knockout.

In a closely contested bout, both fighters will look to make a statement in the welterweight division. Goff’s aggressive style will be put to the test against Brahimaj’s wrestling and grappling abilities. As Sherdog.com notes, "It will be interesting to see how Brahimaj handles
