Britain’s Got Talent Semi-Final Lineup Revealed
In a groundbreaking move, Britain’s Got Talent, the nation’s favourite talent show, is introducing a brand new twist to the live semi-finals – the Golden Buzzer. According to TV Zone UK, this is a first in the show’s 18 series history.
The Golden Buzzer will give one judge or Ant & Dec the power to send an act straight through to the grand finale each week. The semi-finals will now air live every Saturday night, claiming the weekends as the home of BGT. As TV Zone UK reports, this move promises to make Britain’s Got Talent more entertaining than ever before.
In each of the five live semi-final rounds, either one judge or Ant & Dec will be appointed control of the new Golden Buzzer. As soon as they see a performance worthy of a place in the final, they will have just one opportunity to press it. Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli, as well as presenters Ant & Dec, will have just moments after each performance to make a decision which could change the course of an act’s BGT journey.
The eight acts that will be competing each night will put on the show of their lives, as they fight for that Golden Buzzer to be pressed, taking them straight to the final. The public will then vote for their winning act of the night, who will gain a place in the live final. As per TV Zone UK, the semi-final acts competing in the fifth and final semi-final include Binita, CJ Emmons, Han & Fran, Harry Moulding, Jerry Pop, Lazy Generation, Manho, and Red Panda.
The show will also feature a performance by the UK’s most successful mixed-sex pop group of all time, Steps, who will be opening the show alongside the cast of their brand-new musical Here & Now, performing one of their greatest hits, Tragedy. Returning to the BGT stage are fan favourites, Diversity, who will give an exclusive preview of what is to come for their 2026 tour SOUL.
This week’s semi-final will also see KSI reprising his role of guest judge, after stepping in to cover a number of audition dates. The semi-finals take place at the Eventim Apollo in London, and viewers can watch all the unmissable action take place exclusively on ITV1, ITVX, STV, and STV Player, as reported by TV Zone UK.
In a statement, TV Zone UK reveals that the addition of the Golden Buzzer and live semi-finals promises to make Britain’s Got Talent an unpredictable, unmissable, and unbeatable event television. With the live semi-finals just around the corner, fans of the show are eagerly anticipating the excitement that is about to unfold.
As TV Zone UK notes, the competition is heating up, and it remains to be seen which acts will secure a spot in the live final and be one step closer to securing the £250,000 cash prize and a spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance.
