Chelsea Eyes Hato Deal, Liverpool Transfer Target on Radar

Chelsea FC Transfer News: Blues Eye Ajax Star Jorrel Hato

Chelsea Football Club have reportedly made contact with Ajax regarding a potential transfer move for highly-rated youngster Jorrel Hato, according to sources close to the player. The 19-year-old Dutch defender, who can play both centre-back and left-back, has also attracted interest from Liverpool, Arsenal, and Newcastle United.

According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea are keen on signing Hato, but the Blues are aware that other Premier League clubs are also monitoring his situation. “Chelsea are aware that other Premier League clubs are closely monitoring Hato’s situation,” a source close to the player told CaughtOffside. “Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle have already gathered information and remain attentive. This puts pressure on Chelsea, as waiting too long could allow other teams to gain an advantage in the race.”

Hato, who has already played over 100 games for Ajax, is expected to be available for around €50m this summer. Ajax are reportedly holding firm on their asking price, but it remains to be seen whether Chelsea or any other interested club will be willing to meet their valuation. The Dutch youngster has been impressive for Ajax, showcasing his defensive qualities and fine technique on the ball.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had previously spoken about Hato’s situation, revealing that both Chelsea and Liverpool are keen on signing him. “Jorrel Hato is for sure in the list of Liverpool and Chelsea,” Romano said on his YouTube channel. “Both clubs appreciate the player and have been monitoring him. It’s not an easy negotiation with Ajax, he’s a very important player for them, but he’s one of the candidates for these two clubs now they are expected to miss on their target Dean Huijsen.”

Chelsea will hope to win the race for Hato, who could provide an upgrade on Marc Cucurella at left-back, as well as more options in the centre. However, Arsenal may no longer see Hato as a priority target after signing Riccardo Calafiori last summer, while Myles Lewis-Skelly also established himself in the first-team in the season just gone.

The Blues are currently focusing on getting deals for Mike Maignan and Jamie Gittens over the line, but CaughtOffside understands that Hato will be a target for Chelsea after the Club World Cup. With his versatility and impressive skills, it’s easy to see why big clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal are interested in signing him.

In conclusion, the transfer saga surrounding Jorrel Hato is set to continue, with Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Newcastle United all monitoring his situation. Will Chelsea be able to secure his signature, or will one of their rivals pip them to the post? Only time will tell.
