Chelsea Names Squad for 2025 FIFA Club World Cup

Chelsea FC Set to Compete in FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Chelsea Football Club’s players have departed for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, with 24 players flying out to Philadelphia this afternoon and another four meeting the rest of the squad in the US. According to Chelsea FC’s official website, the team will be based in Philadelphia for the group stages of the Club World Cup.

The Blues will play their opening match against LAFC on Monday at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, followed by fixtures versus Flamengo (Friday 20 June) and ES Tunis (Wednesday 25 June) at Lincoln Financial Field. As reported by Chelsea FC, the majority of the players and staff will be flying out this afternoon, while four South American players – Aaron Anselmino, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, and Andrey Santos – will join the rest of the squad in the US.

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 features 32 teams, bringing together the most successful club sides from each of the six international confederations. Chelsea’s qualification for the tournament came courtesy of their Champions League win in 2021. The teams are split into eight groups, with the top two progressing to the round of 16. The ultimate goal is to lift the trophy on Sunday, 13 July. As Chelsea FC’s official website reports, all 63 matches will be broadcast on DAZN and live-streamed for free in multiple languages.

Fans can sign up to DAZN for free to watch the matches. Additionally, tickets for the matches are still available and can be purchased through the official ticketing website. Chelsea FC has confirmed the travelling squad for the Club World Cup 2025, with a mix of experienced players and young talent.

The squad includes goalkeepers Filip Jorgensen, Mike Penders, Robert Sanchez, and Gaga Slonina. The defenders are Josh Acheampong, Tosin Adarabioyo, Aaron Anselmino, Benoit Badiashile, Trevoh Chalobah, Levi Colwill, Marc Cucurella, Malo Gusto, Reece James, and Mamadou Sarr. The midfielders are Moises Caicedo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Dario Essugo, Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia, and Andrey Santos. The forwards are Liam Delap, Tyrique George, Marc Guiu, Nicolas Jackson, Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto, Christopher Nkunku, and Cole Palmer.

As confirmed by Chelsea FC, the four players who will meet the rest of the squad in the US are Aaron Anselmino, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, and Andrey Santos. With a strong squad and a good chance of progressing to the knockout stages, Chelsea FC is set to give a good account of themselves in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

The Blues will be looking to make a statement in the tournament and compete against the best clubs from around the world. As Chelsea FC’s official website reports, the team’s performance in the Club World Cup 2025 will be closely watched by fans and pundits alike. With a talented squad and a good team dynamic, Chelsea FC has a good chance of achieving success in the tournament.
