Chelsea’s Starting XI Against Djurgarden Revealed

Chelsea FC to Make Ten Changes for Djurgarden Clash

Chelsea FC have announced their lineup for the second leg of their UEFA Conference League semi-final against Djurgarden, with manager Enzo Maresca making ten changes to the team that took to the pitch at the weekend.

According to Chelsea FC’s official website, 16-year-old Reggie Walsh will make his first start for the club, having made his debut in the first leg of the tie a week ago. Walsh became the third youngest player in Chelsea history to feature for the club when he came on in the previous match.

The Chelsea FC website reports that Marc Cucurella is the only player to retain his place in the side from the weekend win over Liverpool. Filip Jorgensen will start in goal, with Benoit Badiashile, Tosin Adarabioyo, Malo Gusto, and Josh Acheampong forming the backline. Gusto will make his 50th appearance for Chelsea in a Chelsea shirt.

In midfield, captain Reece James is expected to play, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall possibly operating in a more advanced role. Tyrique George and Jadon Sancho will start in attacking roles, alongside Reggie Walsh. As Chelsea FC’s official website notes, “The head coach has picked the Academy midfielder after he made his debut in the first leg a week ago, when he became the third youngest player in Chelsea history.”

The Chelsea FC website also reveals that the bench for the match will be strong, containing players such as Moises Caicedo, Cole Palmer, and Nicolas Jackson. The full team is as follows:
Chelsea: Jorgensen, Gusto, Tosin, Badiashile, Cucurella, Acheampong, James (c), Walsh, Dewsbury-Hall, Sancho, George
Chelsea subs: Bergstrom, Sanchez, Antwi, Chalobah, Colwill, Caicedo, Fernandez, Madueke, Neto, Palmer, Jackson, Mheuka

The referee for the match will be Joao Pinheiro from Portugal. As Chelsea FC’s official website notes, “Don’t miss out! Make sure to enter Play Predictor before kick-off to have a chance to win a signed match shirt!” The Chelsea FC team will look to make a strong impression in the second leg of their UEFA Conference League semi-final against Djurgarden.
