According to a report by TMZ, newly surfaced footage shows Diddy and Cassie Ventura enjoying a lavish birthday celebration in Punta Mita, Mexico, back in 2017. The music mogul was turning 48 at the time, and the pair seemed to be on cloud nine as they partied at a tropical villa on the private Mexican peninsula.
The video, obtained by TMZ, shows Diddy and Cassie having a great time, with the pair dancing and laughing together. At one point, Diddy wraps his arms around Cassie’s bikini-clad body, and they shimmy their hips to a Spanish song. In another scene, they are learning how to salsa with the help of legendary Choreographer Laurieann Gibson. Cassie busts some moves, extending her arm and placing a hand on Diddy’s shoulder as he does his best to keep up.
Interestingly, the mansion where the party took place was owned by ‘Girls Gone Wild’ founder Joe Francis until it burned down in 2021. The villa had previously played host to a number of other celebrities, including the Kardashians, Eva Longoria, and Ashton Kutcher.
As TMZ reports, the footage shows Diddy and Cassie in a very different light, with Cassie displaying affectionate behavior towards Diddy. However, this is in stark contrast to her current stance, as she is set to testify against him at his federal sex trafficking trial. Cassie is the star prosecution witness at the trial, where Diddy faces decades behind bars if he’s convicted of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution, among other offenses.
The video ends with the whole group posing for pics with Diddy and Cassie sitting next to each other. However, some might notice that Cassie seems melancholy at times. It’s worth noting that Cassie is currently pregnant by her husband Alex Fine, adding to the drama surrounding the trial.
