June 2025 DWP Payments: Full List and Schedule
As we enter the month of June, many individuals who rely on benefits from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) may be wondering if any changes will affect their payments. According to a report by Yahoo News, the good news is that there are no bank holidays in June, which means that benefit payments should be made as usual without any disruptions.
However, some individuals may notice changes to their benefits payments due to the new rates introduced by the government at the start of the financial year in April. As Yahoo News reports, those whose monthly assessment period was before April 7 will have been paid in May on the old rate, rather than the new rate. This change will affect benefits paid on a monthly basis, such as Universal Credit.
The Yahoo News article states that benefits payments are usually made straight to the bank, building society or credit union account of the claimant. When a payment date falls on a weekend or a bank holiday, payments are generally made on the working day before. In Northern Ireland, benefit payments are administered by the Department for Communities, and payments are made on the last working day before a bank holiday.
The schedule for DWP benefit payments in June is as follows:
- Universal Credit: every month
- Attendance Allowance: usually every four weeks
- Carer’s Allowance: weekly in advance, or every four weeks
- Child Benefit: usually every four weeks, weekly for single parents and some benefits claimants
- Disability Living Allowance: usually every four weeks
- Employment and Support Allowance: usually every two weeks
- Income Support: usually every two weeks
- Jobseeker’s Allowance: usually every two weeks
- Maternity Allowance: every two or four weeks
- Pension Credit: usually every four weeks
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP): usually every four weeks
- Tax Credits: every four weeks, or weekly
If a benefit payment is not made by the expected day, individuals are advised to check the date on their award notice and bank account. If the date is correct but the money has not come in, they should contact the appropriate helpline on the government website.
In terms of pension payments, the basic state pension is paid directly into a claimant’s bank, building society or credit union account. Pension payments are made on a four-week cycle, with the day on which it is paid dependent on the last two digits of a claimant’s National Insurance (NI) number. The Yahoo News article provides the following breakdown of NI numbers and corresponding payment days:
- 00 to 19: Monday
- 20 to 39: Tuesday
- 40 to 59: Wednesday
- 60 to 79: Thursday
- 80 to 99: Friday
As there are no bank holidays in June, pension payments should go ahead uninterrupted without disruption. If individuals discover a problem with their pension payments, a helpline is available on the DWP website.
The Yahoo News article also notes that some individuals may be eligible for additional payments, such as the £441 payment due to individuals who suffer from one of 57 common health conditions. Additionally, the DWP is set to scrap six benefits by 2026, and claimants are being urged to take action.
