Easter and Earth Day Events Converge in Los Angeles This Weekend

As the Easter weekend approaches, Los Angeles is set to host a diverse range of events and activities that cater to all interests. The city is buzzing with excitement as it prepares to celebrate Easter and Earth Day, two significant events that promote renewal, sustainability, and community engagement. According to We Like LA, a popular online publication that provides insider tips and recommendations on what’s happening in LA.

This Easter weekend, from April 18-20, 2025, Angelenos and visitors alike can look forward to a plethora of activities, including the Eastside Picnic Festival, Wild for the Planet ft. Big Bunny at the LA Zoo, Easy Mornings in Grand Park, Baby Goat Yoga in Pasadena, an Earth Day Fair at Marine Cabrillo Aquarium, and Easter brunch options galore. We Like LA has compiled an exhaustive list of events and activities that are sure to delight both kids and adults.

One of the highlights of the weekend is the Eastside Picnic Festival, which takes place every third Saturday of the month at the East LA Civic Center. We Like LA notes that this event cultivates an inclusive community space with local vendors, live music, and a range of performers. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to attend. Visitors can take the E Line to East LA Civic Ctr Station to get to the event.

For art enthusiasts, Beyond the Streets is hosting a new group exhibition called PINK CLOUD, which features a mix of installations, paintings, and sculptures. We Like LA reports that the exhibition includes works by various artists, including San Francisco-based graffiti artist GREY (Jonas Melvin). The opening reception takes place on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., and the exhibition runs through June 7.

In celebration of Earth Day and Easter, the LA Zoo is hosting special events, including the Wild for the Planet ft. Big Bunny. We Like LA notes that the events include an Earth Expo featuring conservation and community organizations, special animal wellness talks, live performances, storytime for kids, honey tastings, and photos with “Big Bunny.” The events are included with zoo admission, although honey tastings and photos are extra.

Easy Mornings in Grand Park is another event that promises to be a highlight of the weekend. We Like LA reports that the event offers a range of free activities, including family yoga, theater, dance, arts and crafts, and an eclectic marketplace curated by Smorgasburg L.A. The event takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

In addition to these events, We Like LA recommends checking out Self Care Yoga at CAAM, Bunny at The Bloc, Bloomtown Flower Farm Tour, Earth Day at Marine Cabrillo Aquarium, and Scree Free Saturday. These events offer a range of activities, from yoga and meditation to flower tours and community cleanups.

For those looking for some Easter-themed fun, We Like LA suggests attending Baby Goat Yoga, Bunnies and Egg Hunt at the Castle Green, or Easter at The Maybourne Beverly Hills. The publication also recommends trying out some of the city’s top Easter brunch spots, including Greek Easter Brunch at Zaytinya, Smorgasburg Put an Egg on Everything Day: Caviar Edition, and Easter at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills.
