Emmerdale to Air Heartbreaking Funeral Scenes Amidst Devastating Death

Emmerdale Cast Films Heartbreaking Funeral Scenes

The Emmerdale cast has filmed emotional scenes for the ITV soap that will see them attend a funeral as one character is pronounced dead in upcoming scenes. A shocking death will be announced to residents very soon, leaving their loved ones reeling. According to The Mirror, the cast have now filmed a funeral for the tragic character, in scenes said to be heartbreaking.

The scenes are for the funeral of murdered Nate Robinson, played by actor Jurell Carter. It’s tipped to give the character in question the perfect send-off, but it was apparently very sad to film. Speaking to The Mirror, actress Amy Walsh has revealed scenes are now complete for the funeral. She teased the episodes would be very emotional, saying they were difficult for the cast to film.

Nate’s murder finally comes out next week after months of it being assumed that he’d cut off all contact from his family. Viewers know he was murdered by John Sugden in September, with John then dumping his body in the lake before texting Tracy from Nate’s phone telling his wife not to contact him after their latest split. With lack of contact, no money sent for their daughter Frankie and him seemingly organising for his belongings to be collected, his disappearance did spark concern but only recently has anyone bothered to look for him.

According to The Mirror, Nate’s loved ones will no doubt regret this next week when the body is discovered and identified. Soon his dad Cain Dingle and wife Tracy are informed of his death and the fact his body has been found in a lake, meaning he never left the village. As it dawns on them he’s been dead all this time, questions turn to who killed him and why. Amid characters facing being framed and Nate’s last days being recounted, the villagers will be torn over the events.

Teasing the heartbreaking funeral scenes ahead, Tracy actress Amy revealed: “We’ve been filming the funeral stuff this week. “[Jurrel] is a massive part of the company and it’s a massive hole that he’s left. It was weirdly cathartic being there to celebrate him as Nate at the funeral, even though it was traumatic scenes to film. It was nice being there for him. He is greatly missed. He’s a great guy, I feel really sad it’s forever that he’s gone but what a great exit. He’ll be pleased. The funeral is amazing, it’s an amazing nod to his time here so I think he’ll be pleased with that.”

Amy has also stayed in touch with Jurell, with the actor still kept in the loop about his tragic character’s murder plot. She revealed: “I’m going to see his play. I can’t wait to see him, I want to support him. We still message occasionally and check in on each other. The last time we spoke was him being on tour and me busy at work, juggling, and he said have they filmed my funeral yet? And I said no that’s next week!”
