EU Urges Crackdown on Hungary’s LGBTQ+ Pride Ban, Citing Homophobia Concerns
In a strongly worded letter, 16 European Union member states have expressed their deep concern over Hungary’s recent ban on LGBTQ+ Pride events, citing concerns over human rights and fundamental values. The letter, signed by Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, and Sweden, has also been endorsed by France and Germany, according to an EU diplomat.
