Ex-AEW Star Set to Make Shocking Return to WWE SmackDown Tonight

Wrestling Inc. has reported that a backstage report seemingly confirms that former AEW star, Malakai Black, is set to return to WWE SmackDown tonight. According to Wrestling Inc., Black is expected to return under his former ring name, Aleister Black.

The news of Black’s impending return has been speculated for weeks, with WWE teasing the debut or return of a cryptic figure on the April 25 episode of SmackDown. As reported by Wrestling Inc., PWI Elite claims that Black will be returning to WWE under his former ring name, barring any last-minute changes.

Black’s return to WWE has been hinted at for some time, with the promotion airing a series of dark and mysterious vignettes. The first vignette, which aired last month, revealed the number “4” on SmackDown. A follow-up vignette aired last week, showing a silhouette wearing a mask covered in mysterious symbols, with the sequence “4.25.25” flashing on screen. According to Wrestling Inc., these vignettes have sparked speculation among fans about the significance of the “4” and the identity of the returning wrestler.

As reported by Wrestling Inc., Black is said to have visited WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, a few weeks ago. This visit is believed to have been a preparatory meeting for his return, similar to that of Miro, who returned to WWE under his former ring name, Rusev, earlier this week.

Tonight’s episode of SmackDown will emanate from Fort Worth, Texas, and feature a triple-threat TLC match for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Newly-crowned Undisputed WWE Champion, John Cena, is also advertised to appear. As noted by Wrestling Inc., the addition of Black’s return is expected to add an extra layer of excitement to the show.

The news of Black’s return will likely come as a welcome surprise to fans, who have been eagerly anticipating his return to the promotion. As reported by Wrestling Inc., Black’s return under his former ring name, Aleister Black, is expected to be a significant moment for the promotion.

It’s worth noting that several high-profile wrestlers have made the switch from AEW to WWE in recent weeks, including Miro and Ricky Starks. As noted by Wrestling Inc., Starks made his surprise debut on WWE NXT last week, where he now resides as the NXT North American Champion.
