Fallout Series Renewed, Season 2 to Debut December 2025

Amazon Prime Video Announces December 2025 Release for Fallout Season 2, Renews Show for Season 3

In a move that is sure to excite fans of the post-apocalyptic drama, Amazon Prime Video has announced that Fallout Season 2 will premiere in December 2025, with the show also renewed for Season 3. The streamer revealed the news during its annual upfront presentation in New York City, confirming plans to bring the show back for a third season after the next batch of episodes arrives this winter.

According to a report from IGN, the Fallout team is already feeling confident about Season 2, which finished filming just last week. The show’s executive producers, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, expressed their gratitude to the cast, crew, and fans in a joint statement, saying: "The holidays came a little early this year – we are thrilled to be ending the world all over again for a third season of Fallout. On behalf of our brilliant cast and crew, our showrunners [Geneva Robertson-Dworet] and [Graham Wagner], and our partners at Bethesda, we’re grateful to our incredible collaborators at Amazon MGM Studios and to the amazing fans as we continue our adventures in the wasteland together."

The confirmation of Fallout Season 2’s release date comes as a surprise to some, given that filming had only recently wrapped and production was halted earlier this year due to the LA fires. However, Amazon is moving full steam ahead with the show, and the December release date suggests that fans won’t have to wait much longer for the next batch of episodes.

As reported by IGN, Fallout Season 1 was a major success for Amazon Prime Video, gathering more than 100 million viewers globally since its release last April. The show’s story left fans with a cliffhanger, teasing that audiences would soon be traveling to the infamous New Vegas for Season 2. The crew at Bethesda and Amazon have since confirmed that Fallout Season 2 will indeed travel to Fallout: New Vegas’ titular town, with Robert House (a.k.a. Mr. House) set to play some sort of role.

Some set leaks have also suggested that viewers might catch a glimpse of a few iconic Fallout: New Vegas locations, including Dinky the T-Rex and the Lucky 38 casino. With the show’s second season set to arrive in December, fans will have to wait just a few months to see what’s in store for the characters.

In related news, IGN has reported that the show could see as many as six seasons. Fans can also check out a post-Season 1 interview with Nolan and Bethesda’s Todd Howard for more insights into the show’s future.

For those who may have missed it, Fallout Season 1 introduced viewers to a world of toxic wastelands, following the story of Lucy (Ella Purnell), Maximus (Aaron Moten), and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins). With the show’s second season set to premiere in December, fans can expect more action, drama, and adventure in the wasteland.

As the release date for Fallout Season 2 approaches, fans can expect more news and updates about the show. In the meantime, they can catch up on the first season and prepare for the next batch of episodes. With its unique blend of post-apocalyptic drama and science fiction, Fallout is sure to continue to captivate audiences and leave them eagerly anticipating the next season.
