Investigation into Disappearance of Irish Farmer Takes Dark Turn
The disappearance of 56-year-old Irish farmer Michael Gaine has taken a sinister turn, with police now believing that he may have been chopped up and dumped in a slurry tank before being spread across several fields.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, Mr Gaine was last seen on March 21, when he purchased phone credit at a Centra Shop in Kenmare, Co Kerry. His wife, Janice Gaine, and sister, Noreen O’Regan, had pleaded for information from the public regarding his whereabouts.
An investigation was launched, and over the last eight weeks, police have gathered significant evidence, including 2,200 hours of CCTV and dashcam footage, as well as around 130 witness statements. On April 29, the investigation was classed as a homicide.
