The Atlanta FaZe has made a significant impact in the lower bracket of the Call of Duty League Stage 3 Major, securing two impressive sweeps on Friday to advance in the competition. According to reports from Field Level Media, the FaZe downed Cloud9 New York 3-0, before eliminating OpTic Texas 3-0.
The victories see the Atlanta FaZe extend their stay in the major, which continues through Sunday with a prize pool of $365,000. The championship team is set to earn $150,000 and 100 Call of Duty League points. The FaZe’s dominant performance was marked by victories on multiple maps, including Hacienda Hardpoint, Red Card Search and Destroy, and Protocol Control.
In the first match against Cloud9 New York, the FaZe secured a 250-164 win on Hacienda Hardpoint, before taking a 6-5 victory on Red Card Search and Destroy. The FaZe sealed the series with a 3-0 win on Protocol Control. Against OpTic Texas, the FaZe repeated their dominance, winning 250-161 on Hacienda Hardpoint, 6-5 on Red Card Search and Destroy, and 3-2 on Protocol Control.
The Atlanta FaZe’s success was mirrored by other teams in the competition. The Minnesota Rokkr topped the Carolina Royal Ravens 3-1, while the Toronto Ultra trounced Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 3-0. Earlier in the day, OpTic Texas had routed the Vegas Falcons 3-0.

The competition is set to continue on Saturday, with five matches scheduled. The upper-bracket semifinals will see the Los Angeles Thieves take on the Miami Heretics, and the Boston Breach face the Vancouver Surge.
