For Good Teases New Trailer with Cryptic Promo

Wicked: For Good Teases New Trailer with Glimpse of Main Characters

The highly anticipated trailer for Wicked: For Good is set to be released, and fans are eagerly awaiting a first look at the film. According to The Pink News, a promo clip for the trailer has been shared on social media, giving fans a glimpse of each of the main characters’ looks.

The promo, which was shared on the Wicked movie social media accounts, features Elphaba, Fiyero, Madame Morrible, The Wizard of Oz, Boq, Nessarose, and Glinda. Each character is seen in a brand new outfit and style, different from how they appeared at the end of Wicked. Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba, is seen with her long braided hair down and wearing more worn-out looking clothes, but still sporting her characteristic talons.

As The Pink News reports, Fiyero, played by Jonathan Bailey, is dressed in a soldier’s uniform, keeping true to the stage musical the films are based on. Madame Morrible, played by Michelle Yeoh, and The Wizard, played by Jeff Goldblum, sport new, exquisite outfits but otherwise seem relatively unchanged.

The promo also gives a glimpse of Boq, played by Ethan Slater, who is suited up in a new uniform. Nessarose, played by Marissa Bode, is seen wearing an authoritative looking black outfit, while Glinda, played by Ariana Grande, appears in a sparkly new gown, reminiscent of the gown the character wears in the show.

The video is captioned: "Thank Goodness! ✨ #WickedForGood trailer tomorrow." The whole thing is set to the song ‘For Good’ which will appear in the film. As the trailer draws to a close, we hear Erivo and Grande sing "I have been changed…" but their voices cut out before they can sing the final two words. Instead, a piano plays the same notes as the title card flashes on the screen.

Fans are excited about the upcoming trailer, with one fan writing in the comments, "i’m already on the floor." Another fan added, "Excited for this," while a third fan wrote, "Cannot wait!!!!"

Fervour for a first good look at Wicked: For Good has been rampant ever since Wicked premiered late last year. In May, it was revealed that audiences in the United States and Canada would get an exclusive look at it when Wicked returned to cinemas for one night only on Wednesday, June 4.

However, this caused some dismay for fans around the world, who were eager to see the trailer. Fortunately, it now appears that the suspicions of some were true, and the trailer will be released worldwide on the same day or shortly after.

As The Pink News notes, what we know for sure about Wicked: For Good is very little. We can only assume it will stay as close to the plot of the stage show as Wicked did. Marissa Bode shared one update a while back that "some changes" have been made specifically regarding her character, Nessarose, who is disabled. Bode is the first disabled person to play the role and has said the changes will make Wicked: For Good "less harmful to disabled people."

Wicked: For Good is set to be released in cinemas on November 21, 2025. With the trailer set to be released, fans are eagerly awaiting a first look at the film and what it has in store.
