French Open Semi-Finals: Swiatek Faces Sabalenka in Blockbuster Clash
The French Open women’s semi-finals take place on Thursday, June 5, with two highly anticipated matches scheduled on Court Philippe-Chatrier. According to The Independent, the Roland Garros stadium will host a thrilling encounter between defending champion Iga Swiatek and World No 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
Swiatek, who has won 26 consecutive matches at the French Open, will face a stern test against Sabalenka, who has been in dominant form herself. The other semi-final will see second seed Coco Gauff take on France’s Lois Boisson, the World No 361. Boisson’s remarkable run as a wildcard continued as she defeated Mirra Andreeva, becoming the first French player to reach the women’s semi-finals since Marion Bartoli in 2011.
