Guz Khan’s Hit Comedy Comes to a Close

TV Tonight: The Final Season of Guz Khan’s Hit Comedy ‘Man Like Mobeen’

According to a report by The Guardian, citing information from Inkl, Guz Khan returns for a fifth and final series of his hit comedy ‘Man Like Mobeen’ on BBC Three. The show, which has gained a significant following, revolves around the life of Mobeen, a working-class Muslim former drug dealer trying to do good in Birmingham.

As reported by Inkl, in the final series, Mobeen is desperate to save his sister Aqsa, who is stuck in the UAE. However, there’s one major problem: he isn’t allowed to leave the country. As reported, Mobeen is offered a few dodgy solutions, and he will have to take one of them if he wants to secure a future for him and his sister.

The show’s creator, Guz Khan, has been praised for his portrayal of Muslim life in Britain. The series has been widely acclaimed for its humor, tackling of difficult issues, and authentic representation of the British Asian experience. Inkl quotes a review stating that this series promises to be just as entertaining and thought-provoking as its predecessors.

In other TV news, Inkl reports that the drama series ‘Signora Volpe’ is set to return for a second season on U&Drama. The show, starring Emilia Fox as a British spy turned detective, follows her character as she tries to start a new life in Italy, only to find herself entangled in a murder mystery.

As per Inkl, BBC Two is airing a special program, ‘VE Day 80: We Were There’, which features first-hand testimony from those who witnessed World War II. The program, presented by Rachel Burden, includes interviews with child evacuees, women who worked for the war effort, and Jamaican volunteers and servicemen involved in the liberation of Belsen.

Channel 5 is broadcasting a documentary, ‘The Plot to Kill Holly Willoughby’, which explores the case of Holly Willoughby’s stalker, Gavin Plumb. The documentary features experts in criminal psychology and stalking behavior, providing insight into Plumb’s motivations and the details of his plan.

Other notable programs include ‘Taskmaster’ on Channel 4, which returns with a new cohort of comedians, and ‘Gangs of London’ on Sky Atlantic, which continues its propulsive and action-packed story.

In film news, Inkl reports that Prime Video has released ‘Another Simple Favor’, a sequel to the 2018 hit ‘A Simple Favor’. The film stars Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, and promises to deliver another zippy and quippy comic mystery.

The final series of ‘Man Like Mobeen’ is set to be a must-watch for fans of the show. With its authentic representation and humor, it’s clear that this series will be a fitting conclusion to the story of Mobeen and his friends. As reported by Inkl, Guz Khan’s hit comedy has captured the hearts of audiences, and its impact will be felt for a long time.
